Today, we want to share the heart behind our name.

Libby’s Pecan Pantry is named in honor of our beloved daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Ruth Hutchinson.

Born sleeping on June 6, 2022, Libby was a tiny warrior who touched countless lives in her short but powerful time with us. Though she was stillborn at 31 weeks due to the umbilical cord being wrapped around her neck, she left an imprint on our hearts that will never fade. With her jet-black hair and beautiful face, she was our first child—our precious baby girl.

Libby continues to be a part of our daily lives. Her memory lives on in our hearts and through her little brother, Way. Every day, we strive to make her proud, holding tight to the hope of reunion in heaven one day. Her headstone bears the promise of Romans 8:18:
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to come.”

When we decided to begin our pecan candy journey, there was no question what it should be called. Naming it Libby’s Pecan Pantry was our way of weaving her story into something sweet, heartfelt, and deeply rooted in family tradition.

Our roots run deep—and our love for her runs deeper. 🤍
