Today makes three years in Baton Rouge! 🥳💚

It’s hard to believe we’ve been part of the Baton Rouge community for three years already! Thank you for every visit, every purchase, every kind word, and every memory made along the way! Y’all begged for us to come open here and when we did, y’all really showed up. (Yes, Lafayette, we know, y’all are next!🤣)

Happy 17th Birthday to Fleurty Girl 🎉💚

Happy 17th Birthday, Fleurty Girl! 💚✨

Seventeen years ago today, I went on my lunch break, walked into the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office, and registered Fleurty Girl as an LLC and started this company.

I had no business plan and certainly no idea what the future would hold. What I did have was a dream, a whole lot of determination, and the willingness to take a chance on myself.

Never in a million years could I have imagined that it would grow into nine stores, an incredible team, a community of customers who feel like family, and a life I truly love.

There were plenty of moments when it would have been easier to quit. There were risks, setbacks, sleepless nights, hurricanes, pandemics, construction zones, and more than a few tears along the way. But there were also victories, friendships, laughter, and memories I’ll cherish forever.

If there’s one thing these 17 years have taught me: it’s that you don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. I sure didn’t! Sometimes, you just have to be brave enough to take the first step and trust yourself with the rest.

To everyone who has shopped with us, commented on our posts, cheered us on, worked alongside me, believed in an idea, or simply told a friend about Fleurty Girl: thank you. YOU helped build this. Every milestone belongs to all of us. 💚

Today, I’m feeling incredibly grateful, humbled, and proud of that younger version of myself who decided to stop waiting and just go for it.

And if you’re sitting on a dream of your own, consider this your sign: take the chance. You never know where one brave decision might lead. 💚🎈🥹🎉

The light in the corner story 🤩✨🖕🏻💚

Did you know I wouldn’t buy the building for our Baton Rouge store unless they gave me the finger? 😆

It’s true.

When I first looked at the building, there was this neon middle finger in a sitting on a shelf and I just LOVED it! So, when I made my offer to purchase the building, I added one very important condition:

I wanted the finger.

The sellers weren’t exactly eager to part with it at first, but eventually, they caved. And just like that, the previous owners LITERALLY gave me the finger. 🤣👏

Now, she lives proudly in a little corner of our Baton Rouge store, glowing in all her glory. And if you visit, you can even pick up a mini middle finger version as a souvenir.

Every Fleurty Girl store has a story, but this one might be my favorite!

Thanks again for giving me the finger, Kim! 💚🖕😜
