My favorite out of today’s newbies! 🌱🐠🐠🐠
Hoya Polyneura Albomarginata 🌿
This rare collector Hoya is known as the variegated Fishtail Hoya because of its uniquely shaped leaves that resemble a fish tail. Albomarginata refers to the beautiful creamy-white variegation along the outer margins of the leaves.
* ☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light. More light helps maintain that gorgeous variegation, but avoid harsh afternoon sun.
* 💧 Water: Allow the soil to dry significantly between waterings. Hoyas don’t like staying soggy.
* 🌱 Soil: Prefers a chunky, well-draining mix with plenty of airflow around the roots.
* 💦 Humidity: Appreciates moderate-to-high humidity, but good airflow is important.
* 🌿 Growth: A trailing Hoya that looks beautiful cascading from a shelf or hanging basket.
* 🌸 Blooms: Mature, happy plants can produce clusters of delicate, star-shaped Hoya flowers.
* 💎 Collector plant: This variegated form is much harder to find than the standard green Hoya polyneura, which contributes to its higher price.
Difficulty: Intermediate: not necessarily difficult but a little less forgiving of overwatering than some common Hoyas.
