This one is difficult to write…..and a long read, but I truly appreciate those that take the time to read it all. ❤️
As many of you may know, we shut down the leather shop a while back. We needed that space for something, honestly, more important at that time. Then, God blessed us beyond anything we could imagine with the purchase of our new home! 🏠 Unfortunately though, our new house did not have a space that would work for me to use for leatherwork. So the “stuff” has just sat there packed away. We have now moved a new building in! And are preparing to have it setup and made into the new leather shop! Although … For the past several months, ALL of the leatherworking tools, equipment and materials have been packed up. To be completely honest with you all…. I have seriously considered getting out of the business. Thoughts of just selling everything I have and moving on to something else. After ALOT of praying 🙏 I believe I need to give it one last chance (I think) to see if this will turn into something that can be worth doing. But it’s hard. Materials and everything needed to do quality leatherwork is not cheap by no means at all. And to be honest, it’s difficult to sell items for a profit. It’s a very niche market, it takes a good amount of time to make items and rarely do stocked items sell as quickly as we would like. I’ve really been going back and forth on just selling out or to keep going. So I’m asking for prayers for guidance. And thank you to those that do this. I’m leaning more towards just giving it a final strong effort and just seeing how it goes. Because, with the amount of time (years) and money put into this, it is difficult to just walk away. But it really comes down to this… is it financially viable to do? Honestly, I’m not sure at this time. But before I can even give it a final push, I need the new building to be ready and made into the work space. That requires money of course. So here’s my proposal…. I do have some inventory packed up. Not alot but some. And I would like to clear it out. So I’d like to offer these items to y’all at a HUGE discount! I’m willing to unpack all the made items. ( wallets, bags, coasters, knife sheaths etc.) all the stuff. Take pictures of each item, post them here, and allow you to make an offer on them. If you’re local, you can come by and pick up what you want. If you’re not local, I ask you to cover shipping. (Usually around 5-10 bucks with packaging and shipping cost) This is an opportunity for you to get handmade leather goods for YOUR price! Sounds crazy right? 🤪 yeah, it probably is. But I feel lead to do it anyway. It’ll be a first come first serve type of thing and no holds. I believe I will wait until December 1st to start posting pictures here. That way, maybe this post can have the time to reach the people it needs to. With that said, I can’t guarantee anything gets to you by Christmas. 🎄 If you’ve taken the time to read this post all the way to this point, I personally thank you! I appreciate it, truly.
