I take pride and knowing that I was the first in Victoria, Texas to introduce blind date with a book. It all started at the Cuero Turkey fest, and then it blossomed into having a book nook in a coffee shop. Now I see so many little blind date with a book pop-ups in several businesses. A lot of people ask me with so many people copying and doing the same thing why keep your little bookstore open? I just respond with what does it really matter everyone has their own ideas and people are always going to take ideas and recreate them their own way, it’s the nature of the business beast💁‍♀️. Just know that I am the OG 😂 of the BDWB in my little big city and I take pride in the books that I choose, the wrapping that I choose, the stamp that I put on the book and the goodies that I stuff it with. To me there is no copying because my idea is always an original..🥰
