A year ago I made my first balloon garland for Halle’s 2nd birthday and it took me FOUR HOURS.
FOUR.
HOURS. 😂
Not because it was huge. Not because it was complicated. But because I had literally never tied a balloon before in my life. That garland was the first balloon I ever tied.
So there I was individually tying every balloon, shoving them one by one into those little plastic strip holes like I was assembling IKEA furniture with no instructions and a rapidly declining mental state.
I remember thinking, “there absolutely has to be an easier way to do this.”
And instead of just googling it like a reasonable person… I accidentally started a business.
Now somehow that one birthday party turned into Lifted Events, giant installs, late night mockups, loading trailers at midnight, stress-ordering LED signs, and casually spending $300 at Home Depot while saying things like “trust me, I have a vision.” ✨
Looking back at these photos honestly feels insane because what started as “I want cute decorations for my daughter” completely changed my life in one year. I mean, look how far I’ve come.
