Friday night DATE NIGHT! Wait! What?
You don’t have a date and it’s too cold to go out even if you did? 😩 Well, I’m bringing you a date tonight
(in the comfort of your own warm and cozy home) 😁
and it’s “da bomb!” A photo bomb, that is! 🤣
I gathered some older photos and I’ve taken a bunch of new ones on this frigid Friday afternoon of recent book donations and if you like what you see below👉 you can TEXT me at 630-234-5216 (No Messenger please!) and reserve them in good faith that you’ll be back for them in a week or two. Don’t be shy if you’ve never done that before. It’s easy if you add BookLady Pam to your contacts.

➡️ The shop will be open tomorrow, Saturday,
11:00 to 4:00, AND next week, Monday, 12:00 to 5:00, Tuesday & Wednesday- 11:00 to 5:00, and then the following Saturday- also from 11:00 to 4:00.

➡️ HOORAY! I finally cleared an 8 ft. shelf of Christmas books for adults after my trip to Colorado and have filled the shelf with tempting non-holiday reads. Same workout in the kids room with the holiday books. Gone. All new selection of books now filling the table and waiting for young hands to hold them😊

👉Huge Thanks 🙏 to all who have been donating such great 📚books and supporting a small local business. Come see what’s new. The 📚books are calling your name!

🥶❄️ Bitter cold day here in Illinois, and while some businesses had to close for safety, there are still plenty of local spots showing up today.

If you’re heading out, grab that coffee, order that dinner, or pop into a shop that’s open since it truly makes a difference.

Let’s support the ones braving the cold. 💛

School’s out, but the BookLady is IN! And the BookLady’s Book Attic in Bartlett (11 years!) is IN with the “in crowd”
AND “IN” with the “out-crowd,” too! But don’t be left out because you are chicken of the cold. Maybe you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids today? Bring them IN! It’s warm and cozy up IN the Attic and I’ll be IN even if nobody else will.

👉 I’m bringing IN three bags of mixed books for adults, and on Saturday I replaced one of the shelves of historical fiction with more of the romcoms and contemporary romance NOVELS that many of you love. Their surge IN popularity seems to be outnumbering the historical fiction genre (not including the WWI and WWII eras.) Don’t worry though if you are a bigger fan of the scandals and intrigue of the European courts IN history as there are still three other shelves full. I haven’t touched the non-fiction historical books. Still plenty of that around! And if you haven’t caught on “IN” is the word of the day😂 so I hope you and the kids will be IN to visit today! 😁❤️📖📚

I’m baaaack! The BookLady is back in town but not without a cough despite masking up (and gloves!) in airports, planes, and ubers, and not leaving daughters house except to stroll outdoors with baby.
➡️ I will be back in bookshop tomorrow, Saturday,
Jan. 17th, from 11:00-4:00, with mask on and hand sanitizer on my checkout table and on counter at top of stairs. Other than occasional cough and sniffle, I feel fine. I am expecting a very quiet day in the bookshop especially with this announcement and the very cold outdoor temps predicted. I will also be bringing in a bunch of book donations that are coming back home to roost (❤️ book donations!)
And that will hope for new homes. I am glad i saved the old photos (see below) from before previous purchasing- saved me a lot of work since the holidays were chaotic and then my trip to Colorado last week.
👉👉 If any 📚 books here call out to you TEXT me with your name at 630-234-5216 to put a reserve on them with a *promise to be in this month* to pick them up. Do NOT use messenger as it will not allow me to respond back. I am back to my normal schedule next week. Have fun browsing!😊

Our time spent here in Colorado is coming to a close. It went so swiftly and we made beautiful memories. I brought 2 books to read, silly me, but only read a few nights for about 30 mins in bed before sleep. Lots and lots of time spent holding baby Adelyn mesmerized by all her facial expressions for hours, or pacing, rocking, soothing her so mommy could rest.
I brought a lot of baby books to her and I look forward
to reading to her when I return in April! Here is a pic of her bookcase. We have also enjoyed our strolls wearing sweaters with temps in the 50’s. Not looking forward to frigid temps back home.

👉The bookshop will reopen this Saturday 11:00-4:00 despite the cold outside. If you’re feeling housebound and need an escape, or need books, or want to pick up your raffle prize or book reserves come visit me in the Attic!

Loving our time spent in Colorado with daughter, son in law, and baby Adelyn. The time is going so fast and soon I will be back in the booksop on Saturday, Jan. 17th. But for now we are living in the moment and bonding with our family. Other than on the plane I haven’t spent anytime reading from my book “Hamnet” and probably won’t get back to it until our flight home but yesterday I showed Adelyn mommy’s to-be-read library. Adelyn has her own little TBR library started in her room but it has already overtaked her book shelf and spills into dresser drawers.
I will be coming back home with a bunch of books that mommy has read and is donating to the bookshop after I’ve saved a few for myself!❤️📖📚😊

Meet my newest grandbaby, Adelyn, that was due Dec. 31, but was an early gift arriving on Dec. 13th. Isn’t she beautiful? We finally got to meet her in person (out of state) late this week which is why the bookshop is CLOSED until reopening on Saturday, January 17 from 11:00 to 4:00. I took all these photos myself today (Sat. Jan. 10th) and we also celebrated a belated mini Christmas together. I received these two books from my wishlist which I am very excited about as I have enjoyed other books by both authors! 😊❤️📖📚
