For a long time, I thought I needed to be more polished, more put together, more like everyone else—especially as a business owner.

But the more I grow, the more I realize that the most valuable thing I can bring to this business is… me.

I’m a little awkward. I get excited about random things. I overthink. I laugh at myself. I have big dreams, messy moments, and plenty of imperfections.

And I’m done trying to mask who I am just to fit someone else’s idea of what a business owner should look like.

Because real life builds trust.

People don’t connect with perfection—they connect with honesty. They connect with someone who’s willing to show up as they are, learn out loud, and keep growing.

So whether I’m being a mom, a wife, a teacher, a business owner, or creating content here, I’m choosing authenticity over perfection every single time.

If my awkwardness helps someone else feel comfortable being themselves, then I’d call that a pretty great success.

Here’s to building businesses, relationships, and communities where being genuine is more important than being perfect. 💛🌿

One of my favorite messages I’ve seen lately is this: let the mean girls be mean girls.

Not because unkindness is okay—but because you don’t have to carry it with you.

The opinions, the gossip, the eye rolls, the criticism… none of those things get to determine your worth or your direction.

I’ve realized that people who are secure in themselves usually aren’t spending their time tearing other people down. When someone feels the need to criticize, compare, or belittle, it often says more about what they’re wrestling with than it does about you.

So instead of getting pulled into the negativity, choose something better.

Choose kindness.
Choose growth.
Choose peace.
Choose to keep building the life, the family, the business, and the character that make you proud.

Rise above the noise. Keep cheering for others. Keep chasing your dreams. Keep becoming the person God created you to be.

The world has enough critics.

Be someone who leaves it a little brighter instead. 💛✨

This business has never been just about products, shelves, or sales.

From the very beginning, I’ve prayed that God would be in the driver’s seat—not just of this business adventure, but of our family’s life as a whole.

There are days when I don’t know what the next step should be. Days when the vision feels bigger than my abilities. Days when I have more questions than answers.

That’s when I remind myself that I don’t have to carry the weight of the whole journey alone.

My job is to work hard, serve people well, steward the opportunities I’ve been given, and stay faithful in the small things. The outcome is in God’s hands.

This refillery is built on hope, purpose, and a desire to make a positive difference in our community. I trust that if He opened this door, He will continue to guide each step through it.

So I’ll keep showing up with gratitude, keep serving with my whole heart, and keep trusting the One who sees the road long before I do.

Self-care doesn’t always have to be a spa day or a weekend away. Sometimes it’s as simple as turning up your favorite song and singing at the top of your lungs. 🌿

One reason? Singing can help stimulate the vagus nerve, which plays an important role in helping your body shift into a calmer, more relaxed state. Deep breathing, humming, and singing all encourage this natural response, which is why you often feel lighter, more grounded, or simply happier after belting out your favorite song. ✨

For me, self-care is about finding those little moments that help refill my cup so I can continue showing up for my family, my students, my business, and myself.

So today, give yourself permission to sing a little louder, laugh a little more, and embrace the simple things that bring you joy.

Your mind—and maybe even your nervous system—will thank you. 💛🎶

Today we are taking a break from the refillery and I’m sitting at the hotel poolside watching my medically complex child swim, and my heart is full.

As I watch her laugh, play, and move through the water, I can’t help but think about where she’s been and everything she’s overcome to get here. The appointments, the uncertainty, the setbacks, the victories that others may never fully understand, and the strength she’s shown through it all. ✨

Sometimes as a medical mom, it’s easy to focus on what’s next—the upcoming appointments, the challenges ahead, the unknowns we can’t control.

But today, I’m trying to be present.

Today, I’m choosing to look at how far she’s come instead of how far we still have to go. 🌿

The future will come soon enough. For now, I’m soaking in the splashing water, and the gift of watching my girl simply be a kid.

And for today, that’s enough. 💛
