Windchimes in the making- wood base gets measured, holes marked, then drilled. Next is several coats of paint and sealant so they can be outside…

Then I’ll drill & sand the needles & hooks, string them and add a clapper (crochet hook!) and wind catching piece of steel…

Brilliant! Knit a faux wasp nest to discourage the mad stingers from building nearby!

If you have hung around with me you KNOW I am an advocate and lover of wildlife, but some members of that community are just jerks (kidding!). Life would be easier is they were encouraged to build away from where you and your loved ones enjoy outside time…fiber arts for the win !

There are plenty of decoy wasp nest patterns for crocheters, but hardly any for knitters. Well, I just changed that! 🐝🧶❤️

Pride and a milestone birthday for the US coming soon…things to make, starting with windchimes!

I got the wood bases measured, drilled, painted & sealed. Sorted needles & hooks to make 24 chimes!!

Still need to drill, sand and string, but progress…!!

3.25”…too long?! Size 13 knitting meedles repurposed!! I make a shorter version from size 10 or 10.5 needles, but had a rainbow in 13’s!! What do you think??!!
