At long last, a new item available from Graven Image Studios!
This is a gothic-style style statue of the Norse goddess Hel. Hel is considered to be the ruler of the underworld, and of all who die a peaceful death. I chose to portray Hel in an early Gothic style, because I wanted to emphasize the goddess's royal stature and power, as death truly rules all created things. The statue is composed of gypsum stone, based on a hand-sculpted clay model, and has a hand-painted bone color with a distressed/antiqued finish. A substantial base was added to make the statue quite stable and resistant to tipping. I sculpted this to be a good fit for an Asatru altar, but is of course suited to be displayed wherever you choose. $50.00
