One of the things I’m loving right now is seeing how antiques are finding their way back into our homes. People are mixing old with new—an antique table with a modern sofa, an old painting in a contemporary room, vintage baskets, wood, textiles and objects that bring warmth, character and a little history into a space.

And honestly, I’ve had my best year yet selling antiques. I think people are ready for things with a story again. Things that were made by hand. Things that don’t look like everything else.

I’ve been bringing in lots of new pieces, and there will be plenty to dig through in the barn—furniture, decorative pieces, primitives, vintage treasures, things to collect, things to decorate with, and lots of wonderful “I don’t know what this is, but I LOVE it” finds.

Whether you’re a collector, a decorator, a designer, or simply someone who loves old things, come wander through the barn and see what speaks to you.

Saturday, August 22nd we will be open from 10 to 4pm! We have been filling the barn at 30 Jensen Road with things we have found along the way — mirrors, furniture, baskets, textiles, old dishes, spinning wheels, objects I’ve never seen before and things that immediately make me wonder who’s going to love this as much as I do! Saturday at Homestead Antiques, 30 Jensen Rd. Barre, VT

We will be open this Saturday, August 22nd, from 10–4, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone!

The barn is full of wonderful, interesting things, including lots of old wooden spinning wheels, along with easels and all kinds of things that would be wonderful to paint on or use creatively.

You never quite know what you’re going to find in the barn! Come wander, look around, and see what catches your eye.

Oh my goodness - this was the best day in the barn ever! Thank you! Little pieces of history found new homes: seven dwarfs, a painted breadboard, yellowware, sweetgrass basket, Victorian carousel, art-deco table lamp, popsicle tramp-art, a frog for the garden, post cards, marbles, tins, bookcase, pinball game, books and cookies jars to name a few items in their new homes!

Open Today Too! 30 Jensen Rd. Barre, VT

Officially, Homestead Antiques & Collectibles is open tomorrow, Saturday, August 15th, from 10–4.

But I already have a few appointments today, so I’ll be working in the barn all day today from 11–3. If Saturday doesn’t work for you, you’re very welcome to come by today!

It’s a beautiful day, the barn is open, and I’ll be here surrounded by all the antiques and treasures. ❤️

Saturday, August 15th, 30 Jensen Rd. Barre, VT - we’ll be open from 10 to 4, and we have been filling the barn with things found along the way — furniture, baskets, textiles, old dishes, objects never seen before and things that immediately make us wonder, Who owned this? Where did it come from? What stories could it tell?

That’s really what we love about antiques. It’s not just the beauty of an old piece. It’s the mystery.

Every scratch, every repair, every worn spot tells us that someone used it, loved it, carried it, lived with it. Some of these things have traveled hundreds or even thousands of miles to end up here in this old Vermont barn.

So come wander around with us Saturday. Come see what mysteries are waiting in the barn.
