Hurricane Season will begin shortly on the East Coast.

Make sure you have what you need for 5-10 days without power, tap water, electric or gas stoves, grocery stores, gas stations, and cell phone service.

* Do you have supplies in your home, car and/or business?
* Do you have a way of recharging your phones for several days?
* if someone got hurt, do you have a good first aid kit and updated training to use it?

Emergency Responders take many forms in disasters. Many groups of people volunteer time, equipment and resources around the country to make that happen.

We have become a leader in supplying apparel for Emergency Chaplains that respond every hour around the Country to provide crisis counseling and spiritual support to victims and emergency workers of all faiths.

Many Emergency Disaster Shelters in Florida were full and turning people away as the Hurricane approached.

Don't get angry at the Shelter Staff - but demand from your local government provide more facilities for shelters.

Let me Explain:

Hurricane Andrew wiped out large communities with block after block looking like the damage we saw at Mexico Beach. After 1992 new homes and facilities building standards were improved, but did not account for growth.

Since Andrew, Florida has grown 6 MILLION more residents since 1992. If 10% of those people go to a shelter in a hurricane - that's 600,000 people that need safe shelter. A average size school or community center can hold 500 to 1,000 people.

So doing the math, Florida needs at least 600 to 1,200 ADDITIONAL reinforced buildings capable of housing people in shelters. (Florida needs 2,100 to 4,200 shelters stocked and ready to use)

Also remember that 2017-2018 every County in Florida has had significant from Irma, Maria and Micheal.

These Shelter buildings need the following:
* Be on higher ground (Minimum 10 feet higher than highest flood level.)
* To withstand 150-200 mph winds,
* Reinforced doors and windows,
* Emergency power, lighting and stored water systems
* Cooking/food heating
* Cots, blankets (on-site or near by for delivery when needed)
* Advanced Shelter Medical Kit(s) for first aid care
* 20-50 Volunteers to help run each shelter. With 8 hour
shifts and rotating help.

We have designed "Stop the Bleed" Kits for businesses and schools involved with mass shootings. This kit is designed to treat massive bleeding on one to two injured people each. These are specialized products that are not found in your traditional office for aid kit and the kits used by school nurses.

The Kit is built to be used by non-medical and non-first-aid trained people under high stress of an emergency like this.

In today's world these shootings and mass incidents happen about every 2 -4 weeks in the US. Ambulances take between 4-30 minutes to arrive at an emergency. Unfortunately, severe bleeding can kill in just a few minutes. These supplies MUST be in the building and used immediately to save lives.

For the rest of the Country, please remember you can't wait until a disaster threatens to be prepared for an emergency.

It takes weeks to order and deliver emergency shelter cots, blankets, signage and medical supplies.
