Just IN....I am thrilled to be returning to the Art & Chalk Fest on the grounds of the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend, Wisconsin. It will take place on August 1&2. This means I will be postponing my "ART in My Garden" event at my studio in Baraboo, Wisconsin, which was schedule for August 1. I apologize if this inconveniences anyone planning to attend..

I will be starting my outdoor fair season next week Saturday, June 13, at the Peony Art/Craft Festival next week in Beaver Dam. I will be bringing, Whatever Pouches, Smart Pouches, Maxi Pouches, Hearts, a few Perfect Travels and Tab Carriers. This is a one day fair. I mostly bring things under $50. Our set up will be simpler and what I will bring will be very affordable. (If you were coming this fair to see my larger handbags, message me.)

Well...I'm NORMAL. A "good word" to see on your letter after having Wednesday's mammogram. On June 27th, I get to celebrate my 25th year of being Breast Cancer FREE! I have friends with survivor birthdays far longer than 25 years! Breast Cancer can be beat if found early. My doctor tells me I have to have mammograms until I'm 85. I found my lump by doing my own exam. Something felt weird. A mammogram and an ultrasound confirmed my hunch that something wasn't right. I was 51 years old, our mom had just passed, it was June, the starting of art fair season. The lumpectomy surgery was easy. We went for a three mile hike two days after my surgery. I completed all my summer shows and started chemotherapy at the end of August. 9/11 happened. Sadly, the world changed. Treatments continue. Radiation after chemo. Ameridex pills five years after radiation. Lots and lots of joint pain. After five years of "this", I told my oncologist I was divorcing him! He agreed. And I never looked back. I am "grateful". My life changed, my priorities changed, my friends circle changed. I am very very lucky to still be here. So with this.....get your mammograms ladies. (Men get breast cancer also...self exams work.)

Another order out the door. Thanks for waiting. Had my annual mammogram today. Many of you know, on June 27th I will celebrate my 25th anniversary of being Breast Cancer FREE! Those annual screenings are very important and saves lives. My doctor says I have to have them until I'm 85. Imagine that....

I am really finally back in the studio. I promise. All my family, community, show commitments have been met. I did the final job yesterday...the deck is ready for summer. Whew... Since April 1st I have had two fairs, an annual Family yard sale, help with a community fair, a promise to my sister to help her with her closure tour with her local art tour, bought two raised bed gardens, put them together, fill them with cardboard, old wood, mulch and lots and lots of dirt, planted the seeds, cleaned up the back and front yard, had a Helen's Daughters Handbag Day with Mariella, started planning a birthday party for our little sis, went to Minnesota and decorated the graves, mowed the lawn once, celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary with my husband - Frank, started working on a September community event....I think you get the picture. Like everybody else the last two months have been a little crazy. So ...now...I'm back. I contacted all of you who have ordered something and I am going to get ready for the three June Fairs, two July fairs, maybe three August fairs. I'm ready to open the door to June and sprint through summer.
