I am SO excited to offer this therapeutic art experience at the library - check it out!!!!

Art Empowering Change: Create an empowered you and an improved community. We will explore issues of identity, community and activism by making art!

Each week we will embark on a different art project as a group: from learning to mix paint to match a rainbow of skin tones, to creating individual identity symbols, to celebrating the diversity of activists and activism.

Session 1: Every Wednesday February 28th- April 10th, from 3:00-4:00pm
Session 2: Saturdays March 2nd -April 13th, from 12:15-1:15pm

Baraboo Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library (230 Fourth Ave.)
No previous art experience or skill level needed. No cost, all materials supplied.

Please plan to attend EITHER the Wednesday or the Saturday group. Participants may be ages 12- adult. There is a limit of 11 participants per session, so feel free to email Lisa: [email protected] to reserve your spot, or take a chance and just drop by to join! Questions? Are you a painter, a sculptor, a baker, a singer, or maybe a fiber artist? Hobbiest?
Do you enjoy crafting and creating or have the desire to learn a new craft?

We are challenging the artisans in Baraboo and the surrounding areas to fill social feeds with art of every kind. From Jan 1 - 30, post your creations, accompanied with the  hashtag on Facebook or Instagram.

This challenge is a great way to showcase the creative abilities of our community and bring attention to your work.

We also want to use this opportunity as a way to encourage the Baraboo and surrounding communities to embrace their own inner artist and learn a new craft. There is no age limit.

Showing support for your fellow  sharers is easy, fast and often free. Just click the like button, leave encouraging comments, or share posts to spread the work of these talented people.

So, get those colored pencils out, record yourself reciting a poem, show us your quilts, handbags, and cross-stitch, bake a masterpiece, and share your creations with us all. Use the hashtag  brighten up those dark winter days with the beauty of art!
