We live on a planet where whales sing songs that travel for miles.
Where trees can recognize their own offspring and protect them underground.
Where dolphins give each other names and where lightning can create glass in the sand. Where horses can read human emotions. Where rain has a smell before it even arrives and where the ocean can glow in the dark. A planet where the stars we see might not even exist anymore.

I am in love with this sentence. “Forgive yourself for not knowing earlier what only time could teach.” I have felt such shame for choices I’ve made. I’ve been so embarrassed about my path in life. I’ve judged myself for so many things I give grace to others for doing.

But maybe, what I really needed was time to teach me. Maybe, I needed those lessons so I could be me now. Maybe these aren’t horrible shameful choices I made but simply mistakes because I didn’t yet know what I needed to know. But what I do know now is that it’s not regret or judgment I need for myself, but grace and compassion. What I most need is to forgive myself for being so very human in having to learn lessons that only time can teach.

Smiling because resilience looks good on me. ✨

I navigate Baltimore as an above-knee amputee. Some days it's empowering. Other days? Let's just say my prosthetic has more drama than a daytime soap opera. 🦾 📺
But here's what keeps me going: Peer Evolution proves that when we build ACCESS INTO everything—from services to spaces to conversations—people THRIVE. Not "manage." Not "survive." THRIVE. 💪🏽Today, on National Accessibility Day, I'm choosing joy. But tomorrow? I'm choosing ACTION.Tag someone who needs to hear this.

🎉 Happy National Receptionist Day! 🎉

Today I’m celebrating all the amazing receptionists who are often the first smiling face people see, the calm voice on the phone, and the heartbeat of the office.

As a receptionist living with a prosthetic leg, I’m especially proud to show up every day, support my team, and help create a positive environment.

Mental health matters — especially in high-energy roles like ours. Let’s keep checking on each other, spreading kindness, and normalizing conversations about mental wellness in the workplace. 💚

Thank you to my wonderful colleagues for making every day brighter!

May the Force be with you, always" - a phrase that transcends galactical boundaries and holds special significance on this May the 4th, as we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Day. It's a reminder of the power within us, the resilience that resides in each and every one of us, and the importance of self-love on our path to mental well-being.
Mental health is not a battle to be won or a destination to reach; it's a journey, much like the path of a Jedi. There will be moments of darkness, times when we feel like we're facing insurmountable odds, but the key is to remember that the Force, our inner light, is always with us. It's in those moments of self-care, when we take a breath and pause to prioritize our well-being, that the Force is strongest.
Self-love is the cornerstone of mental health. It's about acknowledging our worth, embracing our flaws, and extending kindness and compassion to ourselves. It's about knowing that it's okay to ask for help, to lean on others when our own strength falters. Just as Jedi rely on their allies and mentors, we can draw strength from our community, our friends, and our loved ones.
On this Mental Health Awareness Day, let's recommit to nurturing our well-being. Let's practice mindfulness, embrace a positive outlook, and find joy in the little things. Let's remember that we are part of something bigger, a universe of diverse individuals, each with their own unique journey. And through it all, let's carry the message of hope and resilience: "May the Force be with you, always."
So, let's lift each other up, share our stories, and lend a helping hand to those who may be struggling. Because in the end, it's not just about overcoming obstacles; it's about the connection we forge, the love we share, and the undeniable truth that we are never alone. May the Force of happiness be strong within us all. Happy Mental Health Awareness Day!
