Sweet feline Peaches is our newest Pet of The Week!

Meet Peaches, an 11-year-old spayed female domestic shorthair Peaches has been soaking up all the love and snuggles she can get at the Lancaster Center after receiving some much-needed TLC due to skin infections. After just a couple weeks of antibiotics and a good diet, Peaches skin has healed significantly, and she is feeling like a brand new cat–and this big girl is ready to find her forever home.

At 11 years young, Peaches still has plenty of pep in her step–which will come in handy when it comes to keeping her active for some much-needed weight loss. Clocking in at just over 16-pounds, Peachess' first goal weight is 12 pounds–just imagine how good her joints will feel without those extra pounds!

Meet Salt, a cute tabby and white boy hanging out with his littermates Pepper and Bel. This adorable trio is just 3 months old and sweet as can be. Salt is playful and cuddly and can't wait to be adopted, hopefully with one of his siblings. He will be neutered and ready to go soon, so get that application in today!

This cute orange and white tabby is Duncan. He is a young adult who was nervous when he first arrived at the shelter, but has since shown that he is a sweetie who wants to be petted. He even let a volunteer clean his eyes and was very good about it; he wants to be sure to look his best for when you come to meet him! He is said to be a talker, so if you listen, you might just find out his story. Duncan is vaccinated and ready to go home and live his best life with you.

This beautiful girl had her world turned upside down when her owner passed away and no one was available to care for her. She is safe, warm and cared for in the shelter, but understandably sad and scared. Right now, she prefers the security of her box, but she is responding well to staff and volunteers, especially if they have treats. Once Athena gains your trust, she will purr up a storm and snuggle on your lap. She will make a great pet for a patient adopter. Petey is a Bully mixed with hound, he is 5 years old and weighs 55 lbs. Petey is an intelligent and well trained dog. He is good with the dog and cat he lives with presently but he does not like dogs outside of his house. He would do best as an only dog but he would be a great companion for someone who has a fenced in yard and knows when he is walked not to get close to other dogs. He is housebroken and in good health. He is neutered, chipped, up to date with vaccines and Heartworm. His present owner can no longer take care of him due to a personal illness. Thor, a Norse god. Thor, our eight year-old cat who's here only because his one and only human passed away. Thor, a regal, stately cat who's quite confused as to why he's not with his human. Open his cage and he comes toward you for all the affection you can give him. He's a bouncing ball of black fluff. Please consider giving a home to this black beauty. Thor is not in our main Cat Room, so please ask an Adoption Counselor to set up a visit. He'll work that Norse magic on you and steal your heart!

Why, yes, I do look a wee bit sad. My name is Haze. My owner passed away recently. We shared 11 glorious years together. I treasured each day! Now, I'm almost 14 years old and back where I was in 2011. I'm in pretty good health (although the vet says I have a few extra pounds). I do have sensitive skin so using stainless steel bowls for my food and Yesterday's News for my litter box would be best. I will be so, so grateful for a new home and an extra special person to call my own. Please come visit me in the main shelter Cat Room. I'd love to show you what a good boy I am! ~ Haze

Meet Peter: Peter is an adorable 11 week old Heeler mix that will melt your heart when you meet him. Peter is such a happy boy and loves everyone he meets. He gets along with other dogs and children. He loves playing with his toys and going outside to run in the yard. Peter will need an active family and a home with a fenced in yard or breed experience.
