To all that care...
This has become a recurring theme every time Jack is in court outside of Baltimore County.
An unknown law enforcement officer walks up to him and asks…
“Hey… are you Turnbull from that page?”
😂
Now remember, he has absolutely no idea where this conversation is going.
So, like any loving husband…
He immediately throws me under the bus.
“Well… yes… but my wife does all the posting.”
Thanks, Jack.
😂
Then every single time, the officer smiles.
“We freaking love you guys.”
“We love your page.”
“Thank you for saying what we can’t.”
“We appreciate what you’re doing.”
And then comes the part we hear over and over again.
“I wish people knew what we’re really dealing with.”
The staffing shortages.
The revolving door.
The policies they have to enforce but didn’t create.
The frustration of having their hands tied.
The things they wish the public understood.
Recently, Jack was leaving Workers’ Compensation Court.
An attorney he’d never met was walking in.
As they passed each other, the attorney just yelled…
“I LOVE YOUR PAGE!”
…and kept walking.
😂
To every law enforcement officer, firefighter, paramedic, correctional officer, dispatcher, attorney, teacher, public employee, or citizen who has stopped us in a courthouse, a parking lot, a grocery store, a restaurant, or somewhere completely random…
Thank you.
We love meeting you.
We love hearing your stories.
We love hearing what’s really happening behind the scenes.
Those conversations help us understand what you’re facing every day and help us tell the public what’s really going on.
Keep stopping us.
Keep talking to us.
If you don’t want to do it in person, send us an email.
Send us a text.
Send us a message.
We’ll keep listening.
And we’ll keep doing our best to tell the stories that matter.
