Nevermore friends: After 3 ½ incredibly enjoyable years of hosting regular Tuesday dances at the Mobtown Ballroom, we’re shifting our focus to weekend and special events – reviving old traditions and creating some new experiences for our extended family of dancers to enjoy. We’ve loved giving you a friendly, welcoming place to learn, dance, and hear great music over the years, and we’re looking forward to plotting and planning for the future. Join us on Tuesday, June 2nd to bring the house down with one last Revelation Blues + Soul – and watch for news about upcoming events we’re scheming about with our friends at Mobtown.

Thinking of two wonderful gentleman dancers today who had long been beloved members of our Nevermore Blues family: Carl Flores and Scott Dana Smith. Each has left a legacy of kindness, caring, and genuine goodness to his friends in the Nevermore and Mobtown communities, and each will continue to be carried in our hearts.

After considerable scheming, we're ready to announce what we have in store for our next two events at the Mobtown Ballroom. Mark those calendars and save the dates now for two of our trademark all-night events: our annual Swing, Soul, & Blues Party (12/7/13) and a new Winter Blues Summit (2/1/14). Details coming soon - until then, enjoy that delicious anticipation.

Several of our neighbor scenes are offering up great blues events in the coming weeks. First up, this weekend brings Blues Muse up in Philly, put on by our friends at Lindy and Blues - two weeks later, we're looking forward to Capital Blues's fantastic bamBLOOZled weekend (always a stellar event) - and, just after that, there's Holy City Blues Exchange - Charleston, SC (housing closes today!). Be sure to check these events out and enjoy ALL the great blues dancing.
