Lots of handmade awesomeness happening at Aunt Hazel’s this week! Share this post with a friend you want to craft with!! 💖

Tonight is the Magical Menagerie workshop 6-8:30 and there’s still seats left to snag if you need a cool down craft after the Hamilton Lauraville Mainstreet Festival happening at the Lot tonight 4-7:30!✨ Find the link to reserve your ticket on our website or Instagram bio! 🐈

This Friday, there is a teen takeover in the maker space from 2-5pm! The goal is to make something you can hold or display jewelry with, using found and reclaimed materials! 🪎 You can also reserve a spot for this online as mentioned above!

Saturday, the maker space is open to the community to use the space for independent projects and parallel play!

This SUNday we will celebrate the solstice by making cyanotype prints, weather permitting! You start the process by bringing in something cotton that you want to paint a cyanotype patch onto, then find little flat objects that could make a nice print when the sun exposure traces the outlines of your found objects! This creates a lasting impression generated by the sun’s rays on the longest day of the year! ☀️
1-3pm or while supplies last!

For any of these activities, if you would prefer to pay in cash, walk-ins are welcome!!

Once again, it’s that time of year where school ends and free time begins!! 🤩
And that also means we have new hours to enjoy crafting throughout the summer! 🌺

Starting this week, we will be CLOSED Mondays and Tuesdays to allow us more time to work through donations each week! 💪
Come shop and craft with us in our air conditioned space Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10-6pm! 😎
On the weekend, we will be open just 10-4pm, both Saturday & Sunday! ☀️

Here’s a forecast of current craftings and confusing closings at Aunt Hazel’s! 🌦️

There’s been a lot going on and it’s hard for us to be in all the places we are needed this week!

We will be opening later than usual today at 6:30 and we will stay open until 9 should you want to peruse and pick through the store before our big sale on Saturday afternoon 👀

Friday May 22 we will be closed all day! 🙅

Then, this Saturday, please wait to come until 1pm since we will be closed to celebrate Nora’s birthday all morning! 🎉
The crafting room and the shop will be open to all on Saturday from 1-6pm 🎨

On Sunday the maker space will be open for freestyle crafting while crochet 101 demonstration and walk throughs will be available in the treehouse all day from 10am-4pm. 🧶

HAPPY EARTH WEEK from a shop whose mission it is to help the earth all year round! And a shop fortunate to be nestled around other businesses that feel the same way!! 🫶🏻🌎✨

We’ve put some activities together this week that allow everyone to have fun and craft sustainably!

This Thursday bring us your fine things, jewelry, and accessories and we will show you how we can fix them or rework it to give your piece new life! 📿 6:30-8:30pm, walk-ins welcome PWYW

If you’re looking for a fun night out this Friday the 24th, look no further than our first ever 420-friendly Puff and Paste night! Use reclaimed photos and gift boxes to create a unique collaged stash box for all your stashing needs! 🎁 6:30-8:30pm, please register for event on our website aunthazels.net, PWYW starting at $15!! Byo 🌿 supply, food, and beverages, only craft materials included in ticket price! Must be 21+!

This Saturday we are open 10-6pm, but pop in from 11-1pm and embark on a creative challenge for all ages with Violet as she shows you how to think out of the box and design things using refuse materials! 🤖 11-1pm, register on our website or walk-in, PWYW starting at $5!

Sunday is usually pretty chill so you can find us doing a Beeswax Wrap demo! Bring in a cut of cotton cloth or pick one from our selection and watch as Bella turns it into a waterproof, reuseable, plastic free, and food safe wrap for you! 🐝 2-4pm, walk-ins welcome, PWYW

Some of these activities we’ve held in the past and we’ll hold them again in the future because these are the type of activities that help creatives keep going and help us use what we already got! Come make magic with us! 💖

We will have an Aunt Hazel’s community table of secondhand crafted wares as well as on site free fabric mending pop up!! That means one of us will fix holes in clothes, reattach straps, reinforce seams perfectly imperfectly and as quick as we can 🪡👒

Tonight, join local artist Gary Dunn for a beginner friendly workshop where you will learn the basics of wood carving by hand and then create your own carving of a wooden spirit! 🧌

⭐️Wednesday nights are for sorting and reorganizing the store floor! Volunteers welcome 6-8pm!
🪵An introductory lesson to wood carving by hand Thursday night 6-8pm! Join artist and instructor Gary Dunn in learning to carve wooden spirits! Link to tickets in our instagram bio or on our website!
💥📢 Come by Friday or Saturday before the No Kings rally and fashion your protest message or pick up one from our left behind collection!!! For the revolution, it’s free to craft!!
