Typical Pug Haus Morning: I got up at 7 today…general chaos ensued. And now, we all need naps. Not Shown: Lenore starting a fight. Poptart peeing on the (covered) couch. Lulu chasing crows.

Some of you asked how we trained Patty to run on the One Fast Cat wheel. Treats. Lots of treats. She fell off at first because she would focus on the treat and not run straight. Most of the training too place off camera because it was hard to film and hold a treat directly in front of her. We tried to train only a few minutes every other day, but she would sit in it and wait to run even though she was bad at it. It took about a month for her to figure it out completely. It took another few months to get her to stop and sit at the end of her run. She was too busy showing off. She runs now even when there aren’t treats or anyone in the room.

Almost every morning when I come downstairs, Patty is waiting on her wheel so she can do a morning run and get her treat. She also shows off whenever a guest comes in or if you so much as look at the wheel. She can run forever if we let her keep going. She can even change directions. But it’s her wheel. No other pugs allowed. They just line up for their wheel treats too!

Portland Pints for Pugs

We know the forecast shows for hot weather on Sunday, but we are hoping you will still stop by early for a special Pints for Pugs at Brujos Brewing Come early with your pug before it is too hot, or leave the pug at home and come enjoy great beer on a hot day!

We are especially excited for this brewery because the owner is a pug owner and even has a PPR Pug so let's show him our support!

Also serving delicious brunch is El Viejon at Brujos

We start at 11 before it gets too hot for the pugs, some of our adoptable pugs will be there to meet you early....we are getting some new ones this week from Pug nation!
