Bainbridge Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale

Bainbridge Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale The next Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale is July 11th, 2026. Join us! Donate, volunteer, or shop!

The Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island Auction & Rummage Sale was born in 1960 when Bainbridge Islanders decided they needed a new library. To raise the necessary funds, local residents collected donations for the project, and Rotary took the lead. The first auction raised nearly $6,000 toward library construction. A year later, in 1961, the second Rotary auction raised $4,000 to purchase furniture

for the new building. As it turned out, the Auction & Rummage sale has continued (almost) annually ever since. The sale has become a local institution and is truly a community effort that would not be possible without the help of an army of volunteers that come together every year, some of whom have worked for 30 years or more. 2,200 community volunteers worked at the last sale!

100% of Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale net proceeds go back into the community. All Rotary Club operating costs are funded through membership dues.

The Auction & Rummage Sale runs on volunteer energy, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for students to earn service hours, build teamwork skills, and contribute to programs that support our local and global community; we’d love to invite your youth group to get involved.

We’re excited to introduce a new program designed especially for youth groups: Battle of the Spartans 🛡️

-- Youth organizations form “Squads” made up of 4 students + 1 adult
-- Each Squad signs up for a 4-hour volunteer shift
-- Groups can register multiple squads and shifts
