Story Stitchers week one in the bag… whoop whoop!! This week the kiddos learned the basics of hand- sewing. They learned how to use needle and thread to make stitches that would become a seam that connected two pieces of fabric together. Our six, seven, and eight-year-olds hand-sewed mini tote bags to carry their little things and our 12 year-old tried her hand for the first time on the sewing machine. She sewed a pretty elastic band miniskirt.

We wanna give a shout out to our instructors this week ( ) to everyone who donated materials (.hurricane )to everyone who brought snacks or who covered lunch for our group ( ).

Next week our group will learn the basics of embroidering by hand. If you know or have little ones, who you think might enjoy doing this program, it’s not too late to sign them up.

It’s like the middle of June already and we didn’t get a lot of pictures but continues to exceed all our expectations and some… its always a pleasure to be in this space and to see and connect with all our romance book girlies… 🖤
