Author visits are my favorite part about being a children’s author. Sharing about the creation of books and then getting to read a couple of my books is an absolute blast.

Here is what I bring and why:
📚Brainstorming journal to show kids that books begin in our imaginations.
📚My first drafts to share with kids about the writing process, including the editing to encourage them to keep going when they make a mistake.
📚First illustrations to show the kids how the illustrations evolve over time just like the text.
📚Printer pages to share with kids what all of that hard work starts to look like as it comes together.
📚Large 16 page printer files for a behind the scenes look at what the pages look like before they are bound.
📚Signed copies for preorders.
📚A full set of my books for the school or library.

Taking kids on the adventure from ideas in your imagination to a published book is an inspiring presentation for both the students and for myself. Their positive energy is contagious!

I am so excited for young readers to jump into this adventure. This first book in the series is so close to my heart as I hope all readers finish the story feeling confident and proud of who they are!

As a mom and former educator it is very important to me that kids have an uplifting and positive book to read. A book that draws them into the adventure with a wholesome sweet message.
