To Our FELIZ community...

As we discuss the future of FELIZ in the age of a pandemic, we are also reflecting on how we can do better to represent and engage all communities, specifically BIPOC. We don’t have it all figured out just yet, we still have a lot to learn, but here’s where we intend to start-

Going forward, we pledge to offer a more racially and culturally diverse vendor base, to expand our market's targeted audience, to develop scholarship opportunities for our booth fees, as well as support & promote community markets run by BIPOC.

What are we doing now? FELIZ is donating funds reserved for future sales to organizations that will help support the local BIPOC and LGBTQ communities. *more on these soon

The FELIZ team members are taking individual actions in becoming more politically engaged on a local level, challenging the norms in our workplaces, educating ourselves, and advocating for our families and friends to join us in investing time and energy into the life-long work of being anti-racist. @ Austin, Texas

Having three jobs/projects is a complicated balancing act, but there are so many elements that I love. I especially love being apart of the creative community. ⠀

My studio is in my house and I often find myself working all kinds of crazy hours. The only way I'm able to manage it all, is to have a supportive partner/husband. He keeps things light hearted and silly. The other key element to staying sane, is taking traveling breaks. It's a source of reflection, relaxation and inspiration. You just have to figure out what works best for you. 📷 ⠀
