Motherhood doesn’t always begin with birth 🤍
Sometimes it begins with a choice -
A step forward, a quiet “yes” to loving, guiding, and showing up for someone who needs you.
And if you’ve ever been that person…
The one who poured in a little extra
The one who encouraged when it wasn’t required
The one who showed up simply because you cared -
This is for you.
To the teachers, grandmothers, aunts, mentors, stepmoms, sisters…
Women who stepped into roles not required of them, yet embraced them fully - you are seen.
I was reminded of that in such a special way last year at Red Poppy, when my oldest’s third grade teacher, Shirley, stopped by to say hi.
She was instrumental in his journey toward becoming a mechanical engineer - not because she had to be, but because she chose to give beyond what was required. The kind of impact that stays with a child for life.
Maybe you’ve been that for someone too.
The rides you gave
The prayers you whispered
The time you spent with them
The encouragement you offered at just the right time
The steady presence you chose to be
That is motherhood too.
It’s not defined by how it started, but by the love that continues day after day.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate women like you - the ones who choose to nurture, to guide, and to love with intention 🤍
If you’re out at the market this weekend, we’d love to see you.
