When I was a baby, my mother would stick me in a high chair in the kitchen as she cooked and baked, all the time telling me everything she was doing. As soon as I could stand on my own and hold a spatula, I was helping her! Thanks to her, I developed a love of and amazing talent for baking the most delicious goodies! These soft, delicate, melt-in-your-mouth sugar cookies were another holiday staple in my house growing up. I call them Century Cookies because the recipe, passed down from my grandmother to my mother to me, is over 100 years old.
