I’ve been thinking a lot about Mother’s Day lately.

Not really about the decorations or the plans or making everything look perfect… but about the feeling behind it all.

The feeling of everyone finally being together.
The conversations that happen around the table.
The photos you end up looking back on years later.
The little moments that somehow become the big ones.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of being part of so many family celebrations, and one thing I’ve learned is this:

Hi friend,

There’s something about May that always feels a little emotional to me.

Hello friends,

Can you believe we’re already nearing the end of February? Time sure flies when you’re having fun (and we’ve had a blast these past weeks!). As we pack up the last of the Valentine’s red and pink, I’m already eyeing our shelves of spring balloons – lovely pastels, bright greens, and school colors galore.

I wanted to reach out as we transition seasons to ask: What’s on your celebration list this spring? Perhaps a graduation for your teen? A much-postponed family reunion? Maybe a baby shower or an Easter block party? Whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it and help make it extraordinary. We’ve been brainstorming fresh ideas (I admit, I’m kind of obsessed with our new daisy-shaped balloons – perfect for garden parties!).

A little anecdote: last spring, we did a wonderful backyard wedding where the couple wanted a “cherry blossom” theme but had no cherry trees. So we got creative – we built two eight-foot “trees” entirely from pink balloons and twinkle lights. When dusk fell, those balloon trees glowed and swayed in the breeze, and one guest actually exclaimed, “I can’t believe those aren’t real blossoms!” It was a bit whimsical, a bit romantic, and completely magical. Best part? The bride and groom said those balloon trees felt like a symbol of how their love had blossomed. (Cue my happy tears!)

That’s the energy I’m bringing into this spring: new beginnings, growth, and lots of color and life. I’m already getting bookings for April and May, so if you have a date in mind, do give me a holler sooner rather than later. I genuinely don’t want you to miss out if our schedule fills up – one of my least favorite things is saying “I’m so sorry, we’re booked that day”. So consider this a friendly nudge from someone who cares: let’s get your event on the calendar, and then you can sit back knowing that’s one big to-do checked off (and in very fun hands!).

On a personal note, as we gear up for spring, I find myself incredibly grateful. The first part of this year has been beyond wonderful – from intimate birthdays to big community events, you’ve trusted us with such important moments. Thank you for that. It’s not something I ever take lightly. I’ve hugged clients who became friends, celebrated milestones with families I feel I’ve known forever, and delivered surprises that made me as giddy as the recipients. What a ride, and it’s only February!
