We are volunteer-powered. Thrifted fashion, furniture & home finds. Profits go to local charities!

For CONSIGNORS:
Consignment is a 50/50 split. We offer 3 days a week walk-in consignment: Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday 10-12:30! All clients may consign once a week. You will be helped by our friendly volunteers. We need double the volunteers in consignment and still have to limit your batches to 15 items. Join us, it's a fun and easy activity for all ages! Call 512-459-1288 or

These shoes came in today and we loved them.

And with all the beautiful clothes, bags and accessories in the store right now, we couldn’t resist putting together a few looks.

That’s one of the fun things about Next-to-New. Nothing comes in as a collection. A pair of shoes arrives one day, a dress came from someone else, a little vintage bag has been waiting — and somehow they all find each other.

So we played stylist for the afternoon.

Some of these combinations we expected to work. A few surprised us. And a few made us wonder why we hadn’t put them together sooner.

A vintage piece by renowned Mexican designer Emilia Castillo, handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico.

That turquoise ceramic. The tiny silver dragonflies. And the showstopper — an oversized Monstera leaf in plata pura (pure silver).

Castillo is known for taking inspiration from the flora and fauna of Taxco and turning it into these incredible, sculptural pieces.

This one is even better in person. 💚

Just another day at Next-to-New…

An antique H.J. Potter Melodeon came into the shop, one of our team members Consignment Cowboys sat down and started playing it, and it was magical 🎶

A little history behind this beautiful instrument:

In 1849, Harold J. Potter converted his clock shop into a melodeon factory. Potter melodeons are among the earliest known examples of these instruments. Powered by air bellows, they push air through brass reeds as the keys are pressed. The melodeon later evolved into the Victorian-era pump organ.

It’s incredible that an instrument with this much history can still fill a room with music over 175 years later.

These are the kinds of treasures that make every visit to Next-to-New so special.
