Hey beautiful people, happy Wednesday!

I often get asked what do I do with all the balloons once the event is done. Well, it depends. If I have another event coming up within the same week or next, I repurpose them. But, if its going to be a while, I pop them. And before you ask...sometimes yes, I'll let others help me especially kids. But most of the times no. It'll just be me and my husband popping them. Its a great stress reliever and sometimes I just don't want to share the fun 😂 Not even sorry!

I'll be repurposing some of the balloons from last weekend's event with Black Parents and Families Collective and some from CRHS Men's Basketball team Senior Night to create something fun for Cedar Ridges PTSA. They're hosting a Career Day tomorrow and I'm happy to show my support.

Its been a busy, busy month over here from balloons to shirts to custom resin pieces! Y'all got your girl booked and busy this month! Big thank you to all those who understood the assignment and tagged me in black businesses to support posts 💛💛💛

I'm so excited about this order I just wrapped up last night. I've watched this couple grow from the beginning of exchanged texts to the will you marry me stage. Ooh I can't wait to celebrate them next month as they exchange their vows. So appreciative of them selecting me to be the official crafty friend of the bride, lol.

Resharing this pinned post from Aug 2023 when I received an order for some MAGA gear that I rejected. In case its not clear where I stand and what I stand for. Right now its in style for influencers to speak up and talk politics. Sugah, please know this ain't about to be one of them posts.

Number 1 I'm not an influencer and I'm not trying to be. Number 2 my whole existence is political and has been since the moment I breathed my first breath in this world. I am a Black woman raising Black male children with my Mexican artist husband who is a social worker in corporate America. Trust, everything about me is political.

So resharing this with a heavy emphasis on my beliefs. This isn't anything new, this is a reminder for those of you who are new to following me.

Hey beautiful people! Happy Friday!

I got a few messages asking if CraftyKita is having any Black Friday sales.

I am Black and today is Friday. That's it. That's the "sale".

I could go into a whole thesis paper on why I don't, but its Friday and I want to spend my time with my family and creating beautiful items. I encourage you to shop small businesses but I also strongly encourage you to remember when you purchase from a small business you're supporting an actual person and I would hope it doesn't depend on whether or not they're having a sale.

I love how these are coming along! There's so much that goes into crafting visions that I love and adore when the ideas I have work out the way I saw them in my head. Looking forward to creating more of these for an amazing local company.

I set an intention last year to work more with small businesses this year and seeing that goal come true has been so inspiring. As a small business, its amazing for me to work with other small businesses.
