Do you ever have one of those projects that you work on whenever you have a moment or two of extra time, sometimes it just sits there in the back your head every now and then popping up to remind you it’s still there?
Back in February I was driving through a neighborhood to drop off some materials, to a small in home school. When I saw it. This blue cabinet that had seen some things and was a little roughed up. It called out to me and I knew I could give it a new life. So in those rare moments that I had nothing else going on I was cleaning it, dismantling it, stripping it sanding it, more stripping it, more sanding it, and even more sanding it. Until finally there was an end in sight. It took a little more stripping using several different tools and a bit more sandpaper then I saw a brand on it, it was originally from . With that I started to repaint, adding in a few little unique touches, and restained it a light color than what it was originally.
5 months later, more hours than I care to count, the little cabinet has been given a new life and will be used as a food prep area for my little one.
