There are different formulations depending on what type of finish you're after (e.g. matte, radiant, etc.) and what skincare benefits, if any, you would like your setting spray/powder to have (e.g. moisturizing, oil-absorbing, etc.). If you want your makeup to last, though, don't skip this step!

Vitamin E works with peptides in this serum to keep your lashes hydrated, conditioned, and strong. That doesn't mean you can wildly rub your eyes and not expect a few lashes to fall out, but they'll be stronger against normal wear and tear (think: removing your mascara with makeup remover). And after a few weeks of testing, I actually noticed fewer lashes on my makeup pads every night.
