🚧 ATLANTA FRIENDS… consider this your official “maybe don’t wing it” warning for this weekend. 😅

A major stretch of I-285 on the west side of Atlanta will be FULLY CLOSED from Friday at 7 PM through Monday at 5 AM between Cascade Rd and MLK Jr. Drive. Expect traffic to spread like glitter at a craft table across all of metro Atlanta. 🚗🔥

Between graduations, Mother’s Day plans, concerts, sports, and normal Atlanta “why are there brake lights at 2 PM?” energy… it’s going to be a whole situation.

✨ Survival Tips:
• Leave EARLY
• Use alternate routes if possible
• Avoid the west side perimeter entirely if you value your sanity
• Pack snacks and patience
• Maybe emotionally prepare now

GDOT says this closure is part of a massive rebuild project on one of Atlanta’s busiest traffic corridors.

If your weekend plans involve Shelf Love, RAWR prep, baseball games, brunch, or simply existing in Atlanta… give yourself extra travel time. The Perimeter is entering its villain era this weekend. 🫠
