Today at noon, Battalion Chief Brian Chamberlin (BCBC) completed his final tour with the Augusta Fire Department, marking the close of a distinguished and honorable career in the fire service.

We had the privilege of recognizing Chief Chamberlin’s many years of dedicated service with a luncheon, where he was presented with a traditional retirement axe on behalf of IAFF Local 1650. This symbol reflects not only his leadership, but also his commitment to the brotherhood, the union, and the citizens of the City of Augusta.

Chief Chamberlin’s impact reaches far beyond the calls he answered. Through his mentorship, professionalism, and unwavering dedication, he has influenced countless members of this department and made a lasting difference in the lives of those he served.

On behalf of IAFF Local 1650, we extend our deepest gratitude and respect. Congratulations on a well-earned retirement, Chief.

And remember—our doors are always open, the coffee is always on, and you are always welcome.
