It’s and this week’s question is what is our favorite thing about our current project. My favorite thing about this blanket is also my least favorite thing. It’s a super easy pattern to follow so I can watch something new or have a conversation whilst knitting it. And yes, it’s taking me forever because it is mindless. Haha

Tonight’s beverage is strawberry peach 🍓🍑🫧

The best part about working remotely is being able to go outside on my lunch and enjoy a bit of sunshine and knitting. Today it is knitting some I-cord for a project I want to try. 🙂.

It’s and while casting on and counting stitches, nearly a dozen times because I lose count or get a different number, I came up with this week’s question- how do you count your cast on stitches? I’ve long done two at a time (and a marker every 50) but recently learned about counting by 3 (3,6,9,10). I may give that a try next time.

Side note- can I share how much I adore this Bucket Bag by - oh wait, I just did! 🤪

Tonight’s beverage is cherry-lime seltzer.

Yarn: This was my first attempt at dyeing fiber a few years ago and I had a friend spin it up for me.
Color: no name
Pattern: not sure yet but cast on 96 stitches for a cowl.

Guess who picked up a drop spindle and fiber for the first time in over 10 years? This gal! AND the muscle memory is still there! I will definitely be doing more drop spinning.

Tonight for I’m working the baby blanket while catching up on High Potential. Tonight’s InstaKnitNight question asks if we listen to or watch while we knit/craft. Almost always for me. I have a hard time just sitting so I’ve got an audiobook, podcast, or show I’ve seen many times (so I don’t have to watch) while I craft. :)

I feel like a cat today - in search of a sun spot to enjoy lunch and a bit of knitting. ☀️ 🧶 I found it in the break room where it’s quiet today because nearly everyone works from home on Friday. The other day I found my sockhead hat WIP and brought it to work. No idea what yarn it is, sadly. I have a guess but….

It’s and I will frogging this yarn for the second time. It’s such a special yarn (hand spun and no longer made colorway) that I want to use every bit of it I can. The hat I started was going to be too long. This cowl I started last week is going to be too tight and tall. Next up - cast on more stitches and try this cowl again.

Color: Gemma

This week’s question asks if we keep a log of our knitting projects. I haven’t for the most part but I want to start a knitting diary or sorts. I grabbed a log book but I think I want to track more than just the full project. It’s a work in progress.

Tonight’s beverage is water and in a bit some peppermint tea.

The last time I posted about these mittens (which I’ve now frogged 6 times and think I finally have them the way I want) we were on the cusp of a big snowstorm. Tomorrow we are expecting a nor’easter with 3-10” between home and work. I’m not so secretly hoping for a snow day! Today it’s knitting, a cuppa, and starting a binge watch of Cross (I adore Aldis Hodge).
