Note from the owner:
First, I would like to give a big THANK YOU to our customers for your support, your frequenting the store and for spending your hard earned cash with us. For a small business that was within a week of closing 2 months ago, I'm happy to say that my new manager has completely turned business around and LFG is staying open regardless of any rumors you may have heard. That is due to Jessica and Joey working their butts off to turn things around. They are a dynamic duo who have made so many positive changes inside the store and for the business. The pull boxes are finally being managed correctly. If you don't have a pull box go by and see Jess and let her get you set up. If you were a former customer and quit coming in because you were told that we couldn't order your books for one reason or another, you were informed incorrectly. I did not know this was going on as badly as we have heard from people. I take full responsibility for not realizing this was taking place. As some may know my husband bought the store in November of 2024. In January 2025 he experienced an aortic dissection and never really got to even get things going at the store because he was so sick. He passed away in May 2025 and I took over the store not knowing a thing about comics other than my husband collected them since he was a kid. I knew nothing about gaming. I did not put as much time, energy or supervision in the store as I should have due to a really rough grieving time following my husband's death. In turn, my business almost closed due to mismanagement. I was not getting a true explanation of what was going on from the manager in place at that time and was not going to keep putting personal money into it every month. That is why I almost closed it, not because we couldn't order due to financial problems as I have heard was being told to customers. If you are a former customer who left us because you couldn't get your books or products I hope you will come back by, see the changes at the store and give us another chance! We'd love to have you come back in! LFG is here to stay thanks to our team we have in place now and to our loyal customers. We appreciate your business! I want nothing more than to make my late husband proud and keep his dream of owning a comic book store alive for a community that he loved. ❤️ BIG thanks to our son Brad Latham who lives in Germany but helps from afar. He's been invaluable to me. Reminder that we have gaming tables for play also! Go by and see Jess or Joey and they can get you set up for play! Thank you, Cat Reid
