PROWLER5 - WED., JUNE 17TH - COUPLE BIGGER FLUKE

Hey gang,

It was a beautiful day to be out on the water today. Nice cool breeze and a good drift all day. After yesterday's trip, catching and releasing 125 FLUKE with not a lot of keepers in the mix we decided to mix it up a bit today. We went off by ourselves and worked pieces of bottom for some bigger FLUKE. And glad we did, we landed a couple of beauties today. Ben landed an 8.2 lber. and Kevin landed a 7.3 lber. Our biggest ones of the season so far. Nice to see. We had some other keepers in the mix along with decent short action.

The weather is not looking good for tomorrow (Thurs.) So I think we'll wait for Friday. Friday will be a beautiful day. So Friday will be our next trip.

Looking forward to getting back out here Friday to try and land some more big FLUKE.

PROWLER5 - MON., JUNE 15TH - FLUKE REPORT

Hey gang,

The day started out with strong NNW winds. We set sail with 9 customers for a very windy day. But, it was nice where we fished. We went to the same location again and we had a pretty decent day of FLUKING. We caught 55 FLUKE with 5 being keepers and some nice ones. Roy was high hook with 2 beauties. Gary had a nice flattie and Benjamin did it again and won the daily pool with a nice big flattie. Good drift all day.

PROWLER5 - SAT., JUNE 13TH - FLUKE REPORT

Hey gang,

After having some very tough trips in the ocean the last few days, we decided to change it up a bit and roll the dice. We took a little bit of a ride and tried a new location. And, glad we did, the FLUKE were biting.

Me, Joey Gorski, Sr. and his son Joseph had the pleasure of having the Hutchins HVAC Inc. group aboard again this year. Great, awesome bunch of guys and gals on this top 10 weather day. The FLUKE were chewing all day. We caught and released over 80 FLUKE and we did have some nice keepers in the mix. Over 19 inches and better. Great conditions with a perfect drift all day with a 1.0.

Capt. Jack will be at the helm tomorrow for Sunday's trip with the same crew. Matter of fact Joey Sr. and Jr. will be working every Sat. and Sun. for the rest of the FLUKE season.

I look forward to getting back out on the grounds Monday.

PROWLER5 - FRI., JUNE 12TH - OCEAN FLUKE REPORT

Hey gang,

We are on our way out to the FLUKE grounds. It's a pretty nice day on the ocean. Benjamin is leading the pool with a nice big FLUKE.

The last couple of trips we've sailed this week we've been catching mostly short FLUKE with some keepers. We've tried some new areas with not good fishing.

Sailing 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Fare is $95, kids (12 and under) $65; free ice, fresh spearing for bait; rods are $5 if needed.

PROWLER5 - OCEAN FLUKE REPORT, SAT., JUNE 6TH 2026

Hey gang,

We are out again on the FLUKE grounds on another beautiful day on the ocean. We have the same amount of folks as yesterday. Good drift today 1.0, 1.1 and we are banging away at some nice keeper FLUKE with some decent short action in the mix. We've been trying some new areas. It's only Noon and I believe Max is winning the pool so far. I'll post pics later this afternoon.
Well Benjamin came back in the bottom of the 8th with 2 BIG flatties and won the daily pool.. Congrats to him.....

We sailed with 17 customers today. Pretty much all FLUKE regulars. We picked away at some nice keeper FLUKE with some big blue knuckleheads in the mix and the short flukes too.

It's going to be another beautiful day tomorrow. I'll post pics later. So let's go fishing.

PROWLER5 - OCEAN FLUKE REPORT, THURS., JUNE 4TH, 2026

Hey gang,

We were out on what was a beautiful day out on the ocean. We started off with our regular, Paddy who caught Ben's rod which he lost 3 days ago. I never thought we'd see that rod again, but you never know sometimes. We worked several areas in the ocean. In one area it was just a bunch of small sea bass. But, we did find some areas with some nice flatties. We landed some nice keeper FLUKE with some pretty decent short action in the 16 to 17 inch range. It felt great to be off the moon and the fish that we boated felt a lot warmer. So things are looking up.

So let's go fishing.
