What is inside these beautiful boxes?
As the names suggest, they are filled with fun home decor items ready to be assembled. All the prep has been done, and now it's time to just relax and create.

I’m starting the week off with another inspiration for our current CC card Challenge. The paper is from the Golden Ebony Collection by 3Quarter Designs. I used 3 different patterned papers, 2 different shapes and 1 piece of ephemera.
Have you started working on your cards yet? You may submit 3 cards per challenge, for 3 changes at a prize.

It is time for another CC card challenge, and I took my inspiration from mojoMonday.
Please use at least 2 different patterned papers, and 2 different shapes. The layout is entirely up to you.
Have fun with this challenge, and remember you may enter up to 3 different cards, for 3 entries in the drawing.
This challenge runs until the end of October, so you have lots of time to create.

My latest class, Vintage by the Dozen, was supposed to be about making 12 cards quickly using 3 sheets of 12” X 12” card stock, and 3 sheets of 12” X 12” patterned paper.
The class members had other thoughts.
The first picture are Penny’s cards and the next one are Aly’s cards from today’s class. Of course there was lost of leftovers, but I love that class attendees always "do their own thing”.

Studio Days is the perfect time to crate cards for our challenges.
The card on the left was created by Penny, and the paper has every color of the challenge, and a simple sentiment is all that’s needed for this gorgeous paper.
The card on the right was created by Aly and is made from a leftover piece of foiling from one of our classes. The foil was adhered to a piece of acetate and then framed, before being mounted on a card base.
Photos don’t do either of these cards justice. The colors are vibrant and beautiful.

Last month I participated in Concord & 9’s Summer Camp. This card was created using one of die sets included in the kit. It also has a stamp and stencil set that accompany it, but I love piecing dies, and this one is perfect for such a treatment. All the card stock used was colored, but most of it was also enhanced with inking. I finished it off using Stamopin’ Up!’s Subtle embossing folder, which is a favorite.

Here is my first inspiration card for the current challenge. I used a map from taylored expressions, as well as their dies for some of the strips. The colors of card stock are Cookie Monster and Honey from taylored expressions, Night of Navy from SU!, and black from Hobby Lobby. Once the map was completed, I cut it between 2 strips and adhered to a card stock base. The inside of the finished card has a Cookie Monster mat topped with white card stock to match the base.
Remember that you get a drawing entry for every card you submit for this challenge, which ends August 31.

July/August Card Challenge

New for this challenge - the more entries you submit, the greater your chances of winning. One entry per card, up to 3 per entries for each challenge.

Our next challenge is a color challenge, and I have used a card from Sarah Renae Clark’s Color Cube set for inspiration.
The challenge is to use at least 3 of the 5 colors given., but feel free to use as many as you like.
You have until August 31 to submit your entry. Check back for my inspiration cards.

Congratulations to Rosalyn-Sue for winning the stamp and die set, Sealed with Good Wishes from LDRS.
All participants of those classes were entered into a drawing, and Aly selected the names this morning.

You never know when your attendance in a class may be rewarded with a little something special.

For all those class members that have been frustrated with the handle falling out every time you used the die cutting machine, the studio now has a brand new Platinum machine. YEA!!!!!

The card challenge for May/June is using a charm of any kind.
My example is made from a card kit by Uniquely Creative called Hello Darling. I used 2 bronze colored leave charms, put together with a bronze brad and adhered to the front of my card on top of 2 paper leaves.
If you are attending any gatherings in May/June, please pick up a charm, or use one from your own stash and enter our card challenge. The winner’s name is drawn from all the entries and then you pick out a goody from the prize box. Anyone can enter and win. If you don’t live near by, a prize can be mailed to you.
