A very full summer of figuring things out 🌞✨ New beginnings, old lessons, and plenty of adventures in between- it was a real trial by fire (DO YOU GET IT 🔥)

From visiting friends to spotting my handmade pottery “in the wild” (always surreal!) and even a failed attempt at digging up diamonds 💎 (next time, right?) this season reminded me that life—like clay—takes patience, resilience, and a bit of play. Here’s to a bright future filled with creativity, community, and ceramics that tell a story. And hopefully one that doesn’t crack from the pressure- and there was a lot of cracks from me trying to figure out that new bee glaze 😭)

⭐️ Top 5 picks for most difficult states based solely on how difficult they are to make in porcelain. ⭐️

1. Michigan- Do I even need to explain? So many have perished in the process of cleaning them up, but the results speak for themselves- I mean this is a show stopper 🤩 However, 10/10, could not be more difficult.

2. New York- I could have taken the easy way out and left off the Island, but that just ain’t me. Nono New York City must have its moment. 8/10 looks easier than it is 🫠

3. Alaska- I’ve made a lot of them now and have finally figured it out, but I had to go through a lot of trials to get there. 6/10 Was nothing but trials and tribulation but I now love making her.
4. Wisconsin- The “little pinky” part of the state needs a special sponge to clean it 😅. Alas 5/10 for messing up my sponge flow.

5. Texas- State is an expert in warping and needs to be babysat while drying. 5/10 due to that and also giving me false confidence that the Panhandle won’t break off on me. But she will 🙃

The website update is live and im so in love with this new collection! I’ve named it the Butterfly Garden, and each piece of pottery displays some of my favorite vintage botanical butterflies from around the world 🦋 I especially love the little gold heart inside the mug ♥️

My kilns have been turning out so good ever since I got bit by a rouge dog, I can’t help but think this is a quasi apology from the universe for having to get rabies shots!
