‘76 stage. Limited budget. Half-mod (pedestal bumps with original cam felts), original tips (apart from a few badly needed replacements with old matching stock), fresh tonebar grommets, regulation…

The keybed from this era is of remarkably light fortitude. Really relies on the case for strength, but the pickups are from the golden era (that orange-gold winding).

If your rhodes is in the south, get it in here for a refurb. Get yourself to church if you want to hear this little beauty.

This beautiful instrument was brought into our shop from it's original owner, which is always a distinct and rare honor! He bought it brand new in 1977. It's always been lovingly cared for, but was suffering from the environmental factors that all instruments do, after nearly 50 years of exposure to air, humidity, heat, cold... Even getting minimal play time, she needed the works, and we at Mad Scientist gave it all the love!

A freshly restored Wurlitzer 200 and a Russian Faemi 1M synth! Listen to that output! This direct audio, with no effects, compression, or EQ. Just the straight signal from each instrument, panned slightly left and right.

We restored this Wurlitzer fairly completely:
action regulation
hammer refacing
action center treatment
rebuilt sustain pedal
brand new Warneck 200 amp (replacing a very early Vintage Vibe solution)
added 200A-style reebd bar shields
replaced tons of reeds
voicing and tuning

The Faemi just got a light servicing, and went from generally unplayable, to quirky with some really usable sounds. She's a quirky beast!

Polishing off a 200A restoration for Pablo Backline in Charlotte, NC
