Sayma Hossain - "Returns" on view May 7 - June 19
Raised between Bangladesh and the American South, Sayma Hossain is a textile installation artist working at the intersection of material reclamation and cultural memory.
Her practice, rooted in the traditions of unorthodox quilting, tapestry weaving, and the use of found objects, centers on reimagining discarded textiles. This tactile storytelling merges personal narrative with broader social commentary.
With a BFA from Georgia State University's Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design, Hossain exhibits work nationally and internationally and has installed permanent public art across the South, with clients including Patagonia, Living Walls, the City Speaks, Midtown ATL, Dashboard, Orange Barrel Media, Goat Farm, and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
