Upward Facing Dog. This pose is foundational, but so often misunderstood. I’m pretty sure when I first started practicing my thighs and knees rested on the floor and I wore my shoulders like earrings. I didn’t realize how hard (but beneficial) it was for......probably over a year. I finally got it. And I love it now.
I’m super tight in my shoulders, so my chest is nowhere near as far forward as I would like, and my backbend isn’t beautiful; but that’s why it’s called a practice, amiright??🤓
Wearing on my nails because at some point over the last couple of weeks, all of my fall and winter shades seem too dark. There’s light at the end of winter.....C’mon Spring!💗

Back at work. Summer ended what seems like F O R E V E R ago and my time is now spent behind a desk instead of a yoga studio (meaning anywhere I roll out my mat.) I also needed time for my nails to heal. For this yogi, the at-home gel systems just won’t do. I’m allergic to the one step systems (yes, 👆🏻that one I talk about in my bio) and regular gel sticks like cement. Read: strips and weakens my nails. What’s a girl to do?🤷🏻‍♀️ Throw it back to my trusty nail lacquers, and see what kind of hacks I can create to keep it from chipping.😉 Have you heard of Gelous base coat? Google it. It’s got me all heart-eyes. Best hack for a mani that lasts but removes like butta.🙃So I’m back to my in MANY colors, my occasional and this perfectly plum in Love Hangover. All the Fall feels.💜🧡💜

Spent the week in Marco Island, FL. Beautiful beach, quaint, quiet community. Perfect last week of summer before this yogi is back at my day job and back in the studio.
