Dr Charles Drew (The Original Dr Drew 😊) with his family. Did you Know he was an outstanding athlete and became the first football coach at Morgan State (then Morgan College) in the 1920s? Known for his extensive research in blood preservation Dr Drew’s expertise in this study became extremely helpful in saving the lives of the Allied Forces during World War II. His unexpected death from a car crash in 1950 has led to a lot of controversy. Many believe he was denied a blood transfusion due to his skin color, while it was he who led the charge with this new technology.
