“Black women who are too often, overlooked, but so often prove they are the backbone of our democracy.” We don’t have words for how powerful it was to hear our first woman Vice President, first black Vice President, first Indian American Vice President to recognize black women on such a level. Black women always show up for the fight and we are all better for it. We’re proud of our home state of Georgia and we’re so thankful to the black women here that flipped this state blue. Thank you for shining a light on these women. Let’s give them their flowers!
