I soaked the marshmallow root from yesterday’s post (Check it out!) in a glass 8 oz jar with Spring Water overnight. Around noon I used my nut milk bag to strain the liquid from the roots and this was the beautiful result, a Marshmallow root infusion. A simple process that yields major results for your health.

Question: What’s your “why”? Why herbs? Why are you so into health and spiritual wellness?

Answer: I found joy within myself during the many seasons and evolutions of my life. Trials, losses, doubts from others and myself on the question of, “Could I really do this?”. Move from Chicago to Atlanta solo in 2022. No family. Just myself & my two daughters, one being a newborn. Today is my son’s 2nd birthday. He was born in Georgia. If I told you what I went through during that pregnancy like having a torn uterus from a car accident that turned into a blood clot that immobilized me for months, all while being displaced, would you believe me? While working through that, I leaned on God and herbs for healing and restoration in my body and mind. Ashwaganda for nervous system regulation, red raspberry for my womb health, and mullein for my family’s respiratory health.

I started my brand, Kori Krush LLC, in Chicago as an entrepreneur in 2020. When I moved to Georgia with my two daughters I knew no matter how hard the journey ahead would be, I’d have my God and Angels right there with me. It’s not what happened during my evolution that matters, but it’s how I turned those situations around. The woman I am today is a walking testament to God’s grace and Glory. I have reflected deeply today. I feel immense joy and gratitude for the breakthroughs my journey has granted me. This is a work I take pride in. 🧿✨

I AM that I AM. ✨
I rise time and time again to show the glory of God and the power of a changed mindset. Knowing you can achieve greatness and actually believing it are two different things my loves. Walk with conviction knowing who you are. Limits are kept there by a closed mindset to the possibility of something working out in a different way than what you may have seen or what you’ve been taught.

✨✨ Happy Equinox! Happy Spring! ✨✨

I’m enjoying this lovely shift of seasons and energy with of course loving on myself!🥰😘 It’s slowly but surely heating up here in Georgia, but it’s windy today making it feel a little cooler. After my usual Saturday errands are through, car wash, market, etc. I make it back home to take a little break before our next adventure.
The kiddies (👧🏽👧🏽👦🏽💕💕💙) & I like to spend our Saturdays with good mix of FUN & relaxation activities. We’ll get in a nap after the park. 😉✅ The kids run and play while mommy gets in a workout, then home we go so I can shower. My hair needed a wash so I said why not go ahead & use this time for a deep conditioning treatment to give my strands some moisture. 🧖🏾‍♀️💆🏾‍♀️✨

I’m using a Shea butter based deep conditioner for today. What types of deep conditioners do you all like to use for wash day?

I love to cook in case y’all didn’t know!

This is Curry Chicken, Curry King Oyster Mushrooms, Sweet Potatoes, Cabbage & Plantain🔥🔥🔥🔥

I got the recipe for the Curry from Big Sis, s/o to !

Now, this is the first time I’ve made Curry Mushroom & wooooo was it fye! I’ve gone fully vegan before and I’m working my way back up to it for sure. My cuz is vegan, so I made the Curry King Oysters for us both to try! Of course her plate had mushrooms & no chicken.

Some of the main spices I love to cook with that have major health benefits are Tumeric, Black Pepper & Cumin. I have roots in the Islands so it’s only right my taste buds go crazy for them. 😝🇯🇲

Health benefits of Tumeric are anti-parasite, anti-inflammatory, & a strong antioxidant (neutralizer of what doesn’t belong in your body).

Cumin has benefits such as blood circulation (heart health), anti-cancer, & helps against brain disorders by increased brain function and forms new neurological pathways! 🥰🧠

Lastly, an old but goody BLACK PEPPER! Think of black pepper as an activator. It has super absorption power. Use it with Cumin and it boosts absorption by 2,000%!

Another new dish added to my vegan vault. 🔥✨
