It’s time for our annual pep talk about Mother’s Day 🌷💆‍♀️ If you have expectations about how the day will go, make sure to communicate them with your partner/family/people.

It can be a tricky day depending on your family dynamic, but if you really want it to go a certain way…make sure you communicate that.

To the mamas out there... if you don’t hear this anywhere else…you are a great mom. You are exactly what your child and family need, and the unseen work and emotional labor you do EVERY DAY matter. You matter.

A dou·la /ˌdo͞olə/ by definition is:

a woman, typically without formal obstetric training, who is employed to provide guidance and support to a pregnant woman during labor… to take it a step further, a doula is a individual that provides spiritual, emotional and physical support before during and after childbirth!

Born and Bloom is built at the heart of a doula that values the sacred time that is spent bearing, birthing and raising children. And we believe that support doesn’t have to stop immediately after birth. Or even early postpartum! So we are showing mamas support and love, through the first 6 years!

Our bodies spirits and minds are figuratively and literally changed when we become mothers and parents… that transformation requires not just support, but love and nurturing as well!
