There’s something quietly satisfying about filling a page with nothing but circles and boxes and lines.

It’s not exciting content. It won’t make it into the shop. But these are the building blocks — the warm-up spells, if you will — that make the real art possible.

Getting better at drawing is just practicing the basics, over and over, until your hand knows what your brain is asking for. So if you’re on a creative journey of your own: don’t skip the fundamentals. The boring practice is part of the journey.
