You’ll find JITT (which, by the way, is filled with mostly not junk from 80+ super great vendors) at 590 Olympic Dr. (exit 9 off the Athens Bypass), Athens, GA, 30601. Just a quick reminder about the Author Event: Cooking With Annie D - Donny Bailey Seagraves at the Athens-Clarke Library on Baxter St.,Sunday, 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm. We’ll have copies of the recently updated Cooking With Annie D book for sale. This update includes a number of Pettyjohn photos in a new chapter called, “Pettyjohn Gatherings.” There is also a new (old) recipe for Squash Souffle on page 152. This recipe was contributed by cousin Susan DeRose, who says she learned this recipe, plus most of the others for the food she serves at her OK Cafe in Atlanta, in the Athens Five Points kitchen of her grandmother, Gaynelle Seagraves Farr Wansley. I’ll have a slide show and will be talking about the Seagraves and Pettyjohn families and how I came up with the idea for the book plus how I self-published the book. I know there’s a lot going on in Athens this weekend, but hope to see some of you at the library, Sunday afternoon, 3:30 pm. in MultiPurpose Room A. Christmas has arrived at Junebug Books and Collectibles’ Junk in the Trunk booths J-14, E-25 and our shelf space across the aisle. We have a great assortment of holiday books, including E. T. A. Hoffmann’s Nutcracker, illustrated and signed by the late award-winning illustrator, Maurice Sendak. There are plenty of other books to choose from, too, some by local authors. We also have vintage postcards and collectibles like a 1922 Underwood typewriter. Junk in the Trunk is located at 590 Olympic Dr., Athens, GA, exit 9 on the Athens Bypass. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. On Sunday, Dec. 3, 1:00 - 5:00 pm, Junk in the Trunk will have a special Holiday Open House with 20% off in many booths, including ours.
