Saturday from 4-7 the whole downtown will sparkle in celebration of women’s month. So many women owned businesses and creatives among the downtown businesses. At Golden State Goods, I’ll be hosting Jude Viola who will be offering bang trims and easy consults. She does my hair and she’s the sweetest. And Gracie of Knotty Siren will be offering custom chain stitching. At Fieldwork, we will be showcasing 7 (maybe more) female artists and creatives. It’ll be a fun evening all around.

Hola Lovers,
Big news (if you haven’t already heard). I’m partnering with the kids over at Fieldwork—an arts space here in Atascadero, over off San Anselmo across from the old Kmart.
Since I’ve been pushing merchandise aside to teach workshops here at Golden State Goods (while trying—unsuccessfully—not to break anything), I’ve been dreaming about having a dedicated arts space downtown. Well…that dream is happening.
We just got the keys to the space next to Anna & Co. (her old “Little Shop”), and we’re currently cleaning, getting systems in place, and preparing to announce not only my workshops—which I know many of you have been wondering about—but guest workshops as well.
We already have an Indigo Dye Workshop on the books, we just need to get our booking system dialed in first. Our goal is to have that ready this week, so stay tuned.
Also, Fieldwork will be participating in By Her Hands on Saturday, March 14 from 4–7pm, featuring some of the artists from their Wednesday Figure Drawing group. The doors will be open—come by and take a peek at the space.
