Celebrate Bike Month with the City of Atascadero on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 8–9 AM at Historic City Hall!

Ride your bike to City Hall and join us in front of the steps across from Sunken Gardens for complimentary light breakfast treats and refreshments as we celebrate healthy, sustainable commuting and our local cycling community. 🚲

This free community event is part of county-wide Bike Month celebrations in collaboration with SLOCOG and made possible with support from awesome local sponsors:

🌞 🚴‍♂️ Don't forget to grab your bike and helmet and "Pedal to the Garden" tomorrow (5/14/24), from 8 am – 9 am, to celebrate Bike to Work Week and National Bike Month on the steps of Historic City Hall in Atascadero!

Bicyclists of all ages are invited to join us for a light breakfast, refreshments, bike safety tips, and an opportunity to learn more about the El Camino Real Downtown Infrastructure Enhancement Project, which incorporates new multi-modal features to increase pedestrian, bicyclist, and transit access.

Later that day, bicyclists can also pedal to Wild Fields Brewhouse (6907 El Camino Real) between 4 pm and 6 pm for a bite and pint of craft beer!

🌞 🚴‍♂️ Get ready to pedal your way to a fun-filled morning at Historic City Hall in Atascadero! Join us for "Pedal to the Garden" on Tuesday, May 14th from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. in celebration of Bike to Work Week and National Bike Month!

Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, bicyclists of all ages are invited to join us on the steps of Atascadero City Hall (across from Sunken Gardens), for a light breakfast and refreshments as a thank you to community members who bike to work. While you’re there, learn more about the exciting El Camino Real Downtown Infrastructure Enhancement Project and get some valuable bike safety tips to keep you riding smoothly.

Plus, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. that evening, Wild Fields Brewhouse will be offering cyclists a bite and a pint of craft beer at 6907 El Camino Real.

SLO County Sheriff's officer, Sergeant Jeremy Rau, holds one of the 23 kids bicycle helmets that were donated on 11/29 from CCCMB with help from Art's Cyclery, Cambria Bicycle Outfitter SLO Store, K-Man Cyclery, and Wally's Bicycle Works. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office Christmas Bicycle Giveaway has been going for 34 years, helping the underprivileged youth of SLO with bicycles and helmets. Over 300 bicycles will be given away this holiday season!

Celebrate with a ride to Historic City Hall on Tuesday, May 16th, for a light breakfast and refreshments. The City's ‘Pedal to the Gardens’ event, in partnership with San Luis Obispo Council of Governments - slocog.org, is a thank you to all community members who bike to work.

Free refreshments will be available to bicyclists of all ages on the steps of Atascadero City Hall (on Palma Ave.) between 7:30 am and 9:00 am.
