IT’S OUR TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY TODAY!!!
I’ve been a business owner for 10 years! It started as a partnership, and I’ve been sole proprietor for 7 years now. That’s wild.
I’ve met so many people, ranging from the friendly faces I see weekly, monthly, or however often, to the people I can’t live without. I’ve met some of the best friends I’ve ever had. What was my life before I knew The ARTery?! If I’m downtown and I’m not at my store, I’m at The ARTery. If it’s my day off and I’m at home, I still might end up at The ARTery.
It’s been a challenging year, starting off January 1st with the entire store being flooded. May hasn’t been an easy month either, starting with cleaning up after a flood at our warehouse and followed by an illness that kept me away from work for a week and a half. All that to say that we didn’t have the time or energy to prepare to celebrate our 10th anniversary, so while I’m acknowledging it today, we’ll be celebrating it a little more properly a few weeks late, on June 21st. We’ll have giveaways, new shirts and tote bags, and whatever else my team can bully me into.
Thank you for 10 years, for supporting me and my small business. Thank you for the kind words, offers, gifts, patience, understanding, and so much more. This community has been incredible. I can’t do this without customers, so truly, thank you so much for your continued support.
